Background:

PlanetRisk is looking for an HR Generalist to support the HR Director with the PlanetRisk HR Recruiting Initiatives. Seeking an individual with government contract recruiting experience coupled with a generalist background. Person must be interested in working in a fast-paced, process-driven start-up environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • HRBP will support an employee population of about 100 employees located at HQ
  • Approximately 60% of the job duties of this HR Business Partner role will be dedicated to Recruitment / Retention Efforts
  • Support the human resources strategies by assisting in department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Own the human resources recruitment process by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions.
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and helping with the decision-making process; analyzing information and applications.
  • Support employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of HR experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint; Dashboard Building
  • HR Generalist background with an emphasis on Full Lifecycle Recruitment Activities
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred but not required or at least an interest in obtaining Cert
  • Experience with Monster and/or Indeed preferred
  • Sharepoint, Intranet and Corporate Website familiarity
  • Previous work with Internship Programs a plus
